What is the difference between Snapchat followers and likes?

Snapchat followers belong to an eligible Public Profile and represent a one-way follow relationship; they are not friends. Followers are a Public Profile relationship

Snapchat says followers are one-way while friends are two-way. Public Profile owners can choose whether the follower count is visible.

Follower delivery therefore changes the relevant public-profile count; it does not add a mutual friend or reveal private content.

Likes belong to public content

The Snapchat Likes product requires the supported public content URL shown in the order form. It is not a profile follower service and does not add Story views.
