1. Make an event record before making more videos
Create a small internal record with an event label, venue, local date and timezone, door time, performance time if different, ticket-page URL and the person responsible for updates. Add the entry conditions and access information you have actually verified.
List real ticket tiers and their genuine closing conditions; do not invent a countdown or a last few tickets to create urgency. This is the reference your team uses when a caption, spoken line and ticket page disagree.
Keep attendee names, ticket barcodes and private order links out of this working document.
2. Choose the TikTok route your audience can actually use
TikTok's July 2024 Eventbrite announcement described attaching event links and opening ticket details through an in-app browser. Treat that as the history of the feature, not proof that today's account, event or region has it.
In your actual publishing flow, check whether an event-link option is offered, whether the correct event can be selected and what the published viewer can see. If it works, open the attached event as a viewer and confirm date, venue and current ticket options.
If no event attachment is available, inspect the website or other legitimate contact features actually shown on your profile and use one clear route that works there. A typed address in a caption is not automatically a clickable event button.
Do not switch ticket providers or promise a feature merely because an old announcement mentions it.
3. Keep a post-to-ticket register
For every event video, record its public URL, the event/date it describes, the ticket route a viewer sees, any price or deadline spoken or shown, and the last time someone checked it. Include artist or venue partner posts you have permission to coordinate; name the person who can ask for an update.
You do not need a complicated dashboard. The useful question is: when early bird closes tonight, which videos still say early bird?
Test the actual public post on a phone as well as your own editing screen. If you cannot inspect a route, mark it unchecked rather than assuming it works.
4. Use one change routine for every ticket-state update
When something changes, the responsible person first verifies the event record and the ticket provider's public page. Next, check the affected post list.
Use whatever editing, linking, commenting or profile controls the account currently provides; this guide does not assume all old captions or attached links can be edited. If an available correction is hard to notice or the spoken offer remains misleading, make a clearly dated replacement update and reconsider the old post's visibility using the controls available.
Stop paid promotion that still sends people to the wrong information. Tell authorised partners exactly which date or offer changed.
Finish by opening the public route again and logging the check time. A new post alone does not fix every old route.
5. Worked example: early bird ends, but the video keeps circulating
Hypothetical example, not a customer case: a small venue runs a Saturday performance. Its first TikTok says early-bird tickets close on Thursday evening.
On Friday the event page correctly offers only the standard tier, but that original video is still being watched. The organiser checks the register, confirms the old video and two authorised partner posts mention early bird, and checks the controls available on each.
Where a clear correction is possible, it states that early bird has ended and points to current availability. If the old spoken offer cannot be corrected clearly, the organiser changes that post's visibility where possible and publishes a current Friday update.
Partners receive the same verified wording. The Saturday date is not silently replaced with next week's event just to keep a ticket link active.
6. Make new videos answer the next attendance question
Once the route is right, film the question holding people back from choosing: what the experience is like, where the entrance is, when doors open or what a ticket includes. Show your own venue or permission-cleared performance material instead of shrinking an entire poster onto the screen.
Put the exact event date where it can be read on a phone. If the show is sold out or rescheduled, make that the main message, not a footnote below an old invitation.
After the event, label a recap with its actual date; only link to another event when you clearly name that different event. Reuse the register for the next show, not its expired claims.
7. Add a video Boost only to a checked, current announcement
If you want a specified visible metric on a prepared public TikTok video, compare BoostMaus's current likes or views packages for that exact post. Check the video link, quantity, price and delivery information before ordering, and keep the purchase beside that video's record.
Choose a post whose information will remain useful; ask support about timing if your event is close rather than assuming completion before doors open. This is a separate social-proof purchase, not the event's ticketing system or a locally targeted advertising campaign.
Keep your ticket goal and that metric goal distinct. For TikTok's own Promote tool, the current July 2026 help page distinguishes website visits from website conversions; conversion setup needs Ads Manager integration and Pixel, while the website-visit goal does not require Pixel.
Buying a BoostMaus package does not set up that advertising workflow.
8. Close the event with numbers that mean what they say
Use separate columns for TikTok views, reported ticket-page visits, paid orders, valid tickets and recorded admissions. Follow the definitions in each tool and note unknown sources.
Hypothetical arithmetic: two paid orders may contain three tickets and two tickets, so that is five issued tickets, not two attendees or five admissions. Record refunds or cancellations when calculating tickets still valid, and use actual entry records for attendance.
An unlinked order stays unlinked; an increase in views does not identify its buyers. At the end, archive the event's checked routes and note the first repeated customer question to answer earlier next time.
Keep any purchased metrics separate from organic observations.
What changes when the ticket state changes?
| Verified state | Ticket destination | TikTok update to check |
|---|---|---|
| Not yet on sale | Accurate event information and the real on-sale time, if confirmed | Say when to return; do not claim tickets can already be bought. |
| Early bird ends | The actual remaining ticket tier and its full current information | Find posts mentioning early bird; correct visibly or replace/restrict outdated promotion where the controls allow. |
| Standard tickets available | The correct event/date and genuine available options | Check the route and exact offer before reusing a video. |
| Sold out | A truthful sold-out page or genuine provider waitlist, if offered | Replace the purchase invitation with the current status; do not invent door tickets. |
| Date or venue changes | The official corrected details and existing ticket-holder instructions | Review every affected route, contact authorised partners and publish a clear dated update. |
| Event ended | An accurately labelled past-event page | Stop active ticket invitations; mark recaps as past and name any future event separately. |

Your next questions
More detail to help you decide what to do next.
Can every TikTok account attach a ticket link?
Do not assume so. Check the features your current account and event actually offer, then test the public viewer route. A historical partnership announcement is not an individual eligibility check.
Can I change a ticket link on an old TikTok?
Check the controls on that actual post. If you cannot make a clear correction, use a current update and reconsider the outdated post's visibility where possible; do not assume every caption or attachment is editable.
Does a sold-out event need another promotion video?
It may need a clear status update so people stop following an outdated purchase invitation. Only mention a waitlist or another date if it genuinely exists and is clearly identified.
Separate measurement, advice and commercial services.
Follower counts, video views, website visits and payments are different measures.
Compare defined periods and separate purchased activity from organic results. A change in a counter alone does not establish its cause.
BoostMaus offers services for supported public profiles and videos. Check the current product page for quantities, targets and delivery terms.
No service guarantees organic reach, sales or permanent retention. Check the selected product's refill terms.
